Visual Stanzas: Art Inspired by Verse

Announcing "Visual Stanzas: Art Inspired by Verse" at the McMillan Arts Centre

I’m thrilled to announce my upcoming exhibit, "Visual Stanzas: Art Inspired by Verse," at the McMillan Arts Centre in Parksville this October! This collection is a spin off “From Verse to Canvas” and it explores the intersection of visual art and poetry—a dialogue between the emotions that verses evoke and the images they inspire.

Throughout the month of October, the walls of the Nemeth Gallery at the McMillan Arts Centre will come alive with a series of mixed media artworks that interpret the essence of poetry. These pieces are profoundly influenced by the universal language of verse—its rhythm, imagery, and emotional resonance. Each artwork in this collection is a visual translation of the poetic echoes that linger in my mind, brought to life through layers of color, texture, and form.

The creative process behind "Visual Stanzas" has been one of experimentation and reflection. I’ve used a variety of techniques and materials to capture the fleeting emotions and abstract ideas that poetry often stirs within us. My goal is to create a space where viewers can connect with these silent stanzas, finding their own interpretations and perhaps even seeing the poetry in their own lives.

I invite you to join me at the McMillan Arts Centre this October to experience "Visual Stanzas: Art Inspired by Verse." Whether you're a lover of art, poetry, or simply curious to explore the connection between the two, I hope this exhibit will resonate with you. Mark your calendars, and I look forward to sharing this artistic journey with you!
