This is my studio

My corner, my happy place, my haven!

We moved to our home in Parksville in the summer of 2020. It is a beautiful neighbourhood and so close to the beach! We have three bedrooms and yes, you guessed! The third room is my studio. Now here is a fun note to that: I call this room my studio while James calls it his office. We both agree that this is our joint work space. (still I love to call it my studio)

It is my happy place. I come here to think, to work on some project, to learn new skills and, to make art. I feel at home here. Here is where Silvina Lanusse Art business begins and here is my take-off platform. From here on this is my life!

All I needed to set up was a nice drafting table with enough room to put my iMac, a pegboard to arrange my most often used tools and make them readily accessible, some wood crates to transform into shelves and a bookcase to hold my most precious inspirational and reference books as well as my journals. (The crates have been following me since I lived in Florida back in the early 2000s! and I am so proud of them!) Of course I also needed a comfy bed for Polo my 12 year old Shi-Tzu and faithful companion. He loves laying down beside me, under my desk. We have shared many a creative spell over time!

The last couple of additions were a Daylight Duo Led Art & Craft lamp with Clamp and Phone Video Stand, Overhead Camera Mount for my iPhone in preparation for when I start filming my online art lessons. 2022 will be the year I design my online art classes and I am ready!
