Magical Mixed Media Lab for kids

I wanted to write about the kids workshop that took place at The Old School House Arts Centre (TOSH) in Qualicum Beach and just ended yesterday. I did find out that one thing was to plan a workshop on a piece of paper and another was to experience it with the kids in class. I was able to learn how to pace each class, how to plan the demos so that the kids could follow along with ease, what techniques work best and which ones they struggle with.

The kids were engaged throughout and had a lot of fun. They took home some really nice pieces including a small book with technique samples that they can have as a reference. It was great watching them discover new skills and playfully create.

I am now ready to start drafting my first online class. I would like to create a 4 lessons mixed media workshop and make it available for people to buy online. Over the last few years, I was able to acquire a nice digital camera, a complete lighting and backdrop set up, and anon overhead camera mount. It is all a matter of getting to it! I have been dreaming of this moment for quite a while now so I am ready and so excited to start this new project.
